Breaks&Rhodes is a music producer tool on vinyl containing drum breaks and one-shots, percussion, Moog bass tone and Rhodes & piano chords.

BREAKS!

an all original collection of drum breaks, fills and one shots recorded on 4 different drum kits with high end microphones.

The recordings were made with 4 mics techniques and mixed with a 70’s funk sound in mind. The microphones used were combination between Neumann U87, AEA R84, Neumann KM184, Audio Technica AT4050, Shure SM57, Se Electronics VKick and AKG D112.

All the elements of the drum kits are included in the one shots at various velocity.

PERCUSSION

A variety of percussion performances and one-shots.

MOOG BASS

3 Moog bass sounds sampled chromatically on 1 octave.

RHODES CHORDS

Major, minor and dominant chords sampled every minor 3rd apart (C, Eb, Gb, A) so every key can be achieved with minimum pitching if desired. The dominant chords available are direct 5th degree of the minor and major chords (G7, Bb7, Db7, E7) so chord progressions can be simply put together without any harmony knowledge. Every chords are sampled with 2 variations; stereo tremolo on and tremolo+vibrato on. When sampled in mono the tremolo will fully disappear and allow different sonic possibilities.

GRAND PIANO CHORDS

Yamaha Grand piano major and minor chords recorded a minor third apart. Recorded with the Mid-Side technique using a pair of AEA ribbon microphones. When sampled in mono these chords will become fully mono without any phase artefact and will loose their reverb.
